Born Marcos Evangelista de Morais, this footballer is regarded as one of the top full-backs of all time and one of Brazil’s best players in history.
Cafu represented Brazil in four FIFA World Cup Tournaments between 1994 and 2006 and captained the Brazilian team when they won the World Cup in 2002. He has played for Brazil 142 times, making him the most capped Brazilian player of all time.
After spending six years playing for AS Roma, where he won the second series A title in the team’s history, Cafu moved to the seven-time Champions League winners, AC Milan. He remained here for six years (2003 – 2008).
During his time with the Rossoneri, Cafu was able to win the 2004 series A title, his second Italian FA Cup (2005), a Champions League (2005), a UEFA Cup (2007), and his third World Title at Club Level as well as his first FIFA Club World Cup.
Nicknamed “Pendolino” after the country’s express trains, Cafu is a member of the AC Milan and AS Roma Halls of Fame.
