Jaro FF to Padova in 2009

This classy central defender started playing football in his home country. After four years, he was transferred to the Serie B Italian football club Ascoli for a season in 2009. From here, he moved to Padova.

In 2012, Portin was forced to stop playing football after it was discovered that he had a rare heart defect.

He was a member of the U21 Finnish national team, for which he scored two goals in 2009. He is now a successful football manager in Finland.
