VITO MANNONE

This Italian goalkeeper joined Reading in the summer of 2017 from Sunderland AFC, becoming the highest-paid goalkeeper of the Championship.

Voted Official Player of the Year for Sunderland, and named Sunderland Supporters’ Player of the Year (2013 – 2014), Vito will always be remembered for the double penalty save in the EFL Cup semi-final vs. Manchester United, which launched Sunderland to a Wembley final after an absence of 40 years.

Mannone has played for the national team of Italy in the U21 team.
